Mushroom Spore Syringes

All psilocybe spore syringes are shipped within 24 hours. Whether it’s your first time diving into the complex world of magic mushroom spores or you’ve been at it for a lifetime, InoculateTheWorld is your one-stop-shop for all things spores.

What Are Mushroom Spore Syringes?

Mushroom spore syringes are syringes filled with thousands of mushroom spores floating in a sterile aqueous solution, commonly distilled water. A spore syringe is just one format of mushroom genetics among many, including spore prints and liquid cultures

Our spore syringes are made by scraping mushroom spores from a spore print into sterilized water. This liquid is then mixed thoroughly to ensure an even distribution of spores. Then, syringes are then filled with the spore solution and sealed until they are ready to be used. Inoculate The World uses 12cc luer-lok sterile syringes with a removable sterile tip cap.

What Are Psilocybe Spore Syringes Used For?

Psilocybe spore syringes are for research purposes, including taxonomy of different species and strains of mushrooms among other scientific and laboratory purposes. Simply place a drop of liquid from your syringe on your glass slide to view thousands of beautiful spores. Spore syringes are the perfect tool for both beginner and advanced mycologists.

How Should a Spore Syringe Look?

Mushroom spore syringes simply contain Psilocybe cubensis spores suspended in sterilized water, so they will often look like plain water in a syringe. Because individual spores are microscopic, the contents of the syringe can look perfectly clear, even though there are thousands of spores dispersed throughout the syringe. Occasionally, spores can clump up, creating little blobs within the syringe, approximately the size of a pea. These clumps are not a cause for concern, but it’s best to shake up your syringe to disperse any bigger clumps before use.

How Are ITW Spore Syringes Produced?

Here at Inoculate The World, we take great pride in each step of our production process. Our products stand out because we are incredibly selective, even before our spores get to the lab.   We only use spores from the strongest, most rigorous samples of mushrooms, many of which we forage from the wild ourselves. Additionally, we know the exact history of all of the mushroom strains we supply spores for, and we would never provide our audience with mushroom syringes without being able to trace the origins of that strain to the exact person who originally foraged and domesticated it.    We are currently in the process of DNA sequencing all of our magic mushroom spore syringes in partnership with Medicinal Genomics, a genetics science company that tests medicinal plants and fungi. With this data, we can cross verify every single one of our products on a genetic level, and make sure each strain is represented accurately.    When it comes to producing mushroom spore syringes, we take quality control (QC) extremely seriously to ensure our customers never get stuck with contaminated products, which can be all too common in the mushroom spore industry.    Our whole process is done in a sterile environment in front of a Laminar Flow Hood. We produce all our syringes in batches of fifty to one hundred, and test each batch thoroughly before sending anything out. These small batches allow us to pay careful attention to any signs of contamination within a batch, and it also helps our lab and customer service team to protect our community if any batches have problems. The whole testing process takes a couple of weeks, which allows any potential bacteria enough time to thrive and show itself before we release a batch of spore syringes to the public.  Our QC process takes some extra time and effort, but refusing to cut corners helps us ensure we never send out contaminated products because there’s less room for sneaky bacteria to hide. How Do I Store Spore Syringes?

It’s best to store spore syringes in the refrigerator or another cool, dark place before use. When stored correctly, spore syringes can last many months. For more information, you can refer to this guide we wrote on spore storage.

Are Magic Mushroom Spore Syringes Legal?

The status of psilocybin legalization varies from state to state, but mushroom spores are legal at the federal level. Because magic mushroom spores don’t contain any psilocybin—the active chemical compound that is a Schedule 1 substance in the United States— spore syringes are federally legal to possess, sell and use for microscopy and other research purposes. The DEA even recently made this clear in a January 2024 letter stating: “If the mushroom spores (or any other material) do not contain psilocybin or psilocin (or any other controlled substance or listed chemical), the material is considered not controlled.”
