Book: How To Identify Mushrooms To Genus III: Microscopic Features

$23.00

III. This is the book that made me find thus series. If you are trying to understand microscopy better this is THE book that covers the details. Again this book builds on the information you will obtain in books I and II. If you don’t understand mycology terms yet, I would highly recommend reading the other books first before getting here. This book expanded my understanding of microscopy significantly. It goes over your lab techniques. Eg how to cut mushroom apart, rehydrate your specimen, and how to mount on a slide. One of my favorite things it goes over how to mix your own chemicals. These chemicals are used for seeing your mounted specimens better and also used to create reactions that can help you identify based on colors. It will deep dive into all the microscopy terms that mycologists use in this tiny world. This book has a plethora of great photos and drawings to illustrate the terms for you. -MycologyCollector
