Description
Psilocybe hoogshagenii is a extremely rare tryptamine bearing species first collected in the wild in Huautla de Jimenez. This species was originally collected as P Subtropicalis but splintered over the years into p. hoogshagenii var. convexa, and then p. hoogshagenii var. semperviva. Alan Rockefeller got samples of all of them and through sequencing found it’s the same mushroom. Since Subtropicalis was first, that’s what sticks. In the wild, Psilocybe hoogshagenii can be found growing from clay filled soils amongst coffee plantations and other subtropical zones, at an elevation of 3,300 to 5,900 ft. We are pleased to now carry this rigorous and unique strain.
