Sibu Cubensis Spore Syringe

Sibu Cubensis Spore Syringe (pronounced: “See-Boo”) comes from an ITW original Ps. cubensis strain, foraged by our founder, Drew, while he was in Costa Rica. Sibú is the name of the primary deity in Talamancan mythology, known as the highest power of values, wisdom, and ethics. Sibú taught the indigenous peoples of Costa Rica what they could eat and how to grow it, as well as establishing the codes of conduct, song and art forms that still thrive in Costa Rica.

Sibu cubensis was found when Drew and his  local friends Ice and Fabricio went mushroom hunting in the Limon Province about 3 hours outside of City Center, San Jose. The original sample was found in rocky, hilly terrain that was packed with trees and tall grasses. This wild Costa Rican cubensis had a tall, thick stem and a point UFO saucer-like cap, and those features still present in the domesticated mushroom. Similar to many of our other wild collections, such as Tosohatchee Cubensis and Guapiles Cubensis, potency is very high with this strain.
