Psilocybe ochraceocentrata, aff. Natalensis is a unique magic mushroom species recently discovered in South Africa. While similar in appearance and growth parameters to Psilocybe cubensis, Psilocybe ochraceocentrata, aff. Natalensis is an entirely different species. This species produces elongated, cream colored, heavy hitting fruiting bodies. This species first came to us from a friend in Costa Rica. He was gifted a print from a forager in South Africa who had just recently stumbled upon a large flush of the species fruiting from cow patties. This is by far the most rhizomorphic mycelium producing strain we have come in contact with, shown clearly in the second product photo.

These genetics are absolutely incredible. I can’t understand why P. Nats aren’t more popular to study. They are easier to research than cubes, stronger, more resilient to contamination and are much more pleasant. There are a lot of nat genetics floating around and they are not all created equal. ITW has the best genetic line I’ve ever seen with this species.

I did 100% same set up as cubensis. Been harvesting almost daily for near a month. They came up and just never stopped kicking out the jams. Fast, resilient, and there are positive qualitative differences in experience. Basically it’s all true and you should take a flyer on these if you’re thinking about it.

In regards to the feeling OMG 😲 So healing and they listen and speak back to me. I ask them a question and they answer. If my mother interrupts the trip they stop the trip and tell me to make sure she is not worrying. They do not like being sold that they have made very apparent. So only donations is the deal we made! In typical ITW fashion, these genetics are INCREDIBLE!! Actually, incredible is an understatement. Super aggressive and fast! After researching these, I don’t think I can go back to cubes. These are just as easy to research as cubes, require the same research process as cubes. There are literally no downsides to these. Absolutely my new favorite mushroom for research and is a welcome addition to my collection!
