Psilocybe natalensis is a unique magic mushroom species recently discovered in South Africa. While similar in appearance and growth parameters to Psilocybe cubensis, Psilocybe natalensis is an entirely different species. Natalensis produces elongated, cream colored, heavy hitting fruiting bodies. This species first came to us from a friend in Costa Rica. He was gifted a print from a forager in South Africa who had just recently stumbled upon a large flush of the species fruiting from cow patties. This is by far the most rhizomorphic mycelium producing strain we have come in contact with, shown clearly in the second product photo.

These genetics are absolutely incredible. I can’t understand why P. Nats aren’t more popular to study. They are easier to research than cubes, stronger, more resilient to contamination and are much more pleasant. There are a lot of nat genetics floating around and they are not all created equal. ITW has the best genetic line I’ve ever seen with this species.

I did 100% same set up as cubensis. Been harvesting almost daily for near a month. They came up and just never stopped kicking out the jams. Fast, resilient, and there are positive qualitative differences in experience. Basically it’s all true and you should take a flyer on these if you’re thinking about it.
