Description
Psilocybe mexicana var. Jalisco is a unique psilocybe strain with rich history dating back over 2000 years. One of the earliest mushroom species used in mazateca rituals, psilocybe mexicana is still used today all over the world, in both truffle and full fruiting body form. In Amsterdam this strain is commonplace in smartshops in the form of refrigerated truffles. During our last trip to Amsterdam, ITW and our friends agreed this was the favorite of all truffle varieties we tried, including the classic Pollock Tampanensis. Ps. mexicana prefer manure rich grasslands, giving them the name, “the mexican liberty cap” by Paul Stamets. This is the true “set and forget” species.
