Sibu Cubensis Isolated Spore Syringe

The Sibú cubensis strain, (pronounced: “See-Boo”), was hunted in the wild, isolated, and named by InoculateTheWorld. Sibú is the name of the primary deity in Talamancan mythology, known as the highest power of values, wisdom, and ethics. Sibú taught the indigenous people what they could eat, and how to grow it. Sibú established codes of conduct, and also taught songs and art forms, creating a culture of honor and love in Costa Rica.

Drew found this strain with local friends Ice and Fabricio while traveling through the Limon Province, about 3 hours outside of City Center, San Jose. The terrain was rocky, hilly, and packed with trees and tall grasses. Winds were strong in the area, which made for a classic cubensis hunting adventure. The original sample was a tall, thick stemmed mushroom with a pointy, UFO-like cap similar to that which has showed itself in the domesticated isolation. At the time, we had no foil or paper on hand, so Drew printed the mushroom cap on a page inside his copy of Plants Of The Gods, written by Richard Evans Schultes and Albert Hofmann.

After a days hunt, we spent the evening in a gorgeous treehouse we were invited to by our friends, located about two hours away from the collection site. We listened to music and read of the fascinating Talamancan mythologies that are so deeply integrated into the culture in Costa Rica. Meanwhile, the wild cubensis mushroom was slowly dropping its gorgeous purple spores onto a page of the book. By morning time, we carefully lifted the mushroom cap off the paper, to find a gorgeous, dense spore print had formed. Similar to many of our wild collections, such as Tosohatchee Cubensis and Guapiles Cubensis, potency is very high with this strain.
